Sailors are hoping for wind to fill their sails for the  Torquay Pharmacy Regatta held off Torquay Beach on February 21st and 22nd 2026.
The Hervey Bay Sailing Club will host the two-day event which will attract competitors from across the Fraser Coast. The event is open to off-beach monohulls, catamarans and multihulls from clubs across the Fraser Coast and beyond.

  February 21st & 22nd

The Torquay Pharmacy Regatta will be hosted by the Hervey Bay Sailing Club on the waters of beautiful Hervey Bay.

1  RULES. The Regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing.  Australian Special Regulations Part-2 off the beach classes and Australian Sailing Prescriptions will apply. Appendix T, Arbitration and the Equipment Rules of Australian Sailing will apply. 

2  ENTRIES.   A competing boat must comply with specific class and measurement rules.

2.1 Regatta Fee shall be $70.00 or $40.00 for a single day.

3  FLEETS.   Fleets shall be defined in the Sailing Instructions, with Monohull, Finn, Arrow and other Multihulls sailing short course formats with multiple starts.                       

3.1  Sailing committee may change fleets after reviewing nominations.

4    SCHEDULE OF EVENTS.

• Friday:       Boat Park fenced and afternoon meet and greet from 16.00
• Saturday:  Registration from 8.30, Briefing & Information session @ 11.00
• Saturday:  Racing not before 13.00 back-to-back (max. 4 heats)
• Sunday:     Racing not before 10.30 back-to-back (max. 4 heats)

5  RACING AREA   The racing area will be that part of Hervey Bay that is in the vicinity of the Hervey Bay Sailing Club.

6  COURSES.            The courses will be short courses as described in the Sailing Instructions.

7  SCORING.            The low points scoring system will apply (Appendix A)

8  PRIZES.                Individual prizes will be awarded in relation to the number of boats in competing fleets.  

                                       Prizes shall be awarded at the discretion of the Hervey Bay Sailing Club   Race Management Committee.
